The water of the Vikings, Blue Keld Natural Mineral Water, will now be available in selected Co-operative stores within Yorkshire as part of an initiative to offer more local produce.
Mainly located throughout Blue Kelds home county East Yorkshire, the stores will include Hedon, Hornsea, Keyingham, Beverley, Hessle, Cottingham, Bridlington and Martongate (although this list is subject to change)!
Located at the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, Blue Keld water takes many years to filter through the chalk and limestone land before reaching the genuine artesian spring, located near Driffield.
Steeped in history, the Artesian spring is one of only a few of its kind in the country, where the water naturally bubbles to the surface. Blue Keld water is high in calcium and low in sodium and is full of Yorkshire goodness!
Dating back to Nordic times it is thought that the Vikings fuelled themselves on this water with Blue Keld, meaning Blue Spring in Nordic, appearing on ancient maps!
