The Ice Co team smashes the Tough Mudder challenge in a cool, calm but messy manner!

Those of you who know it, will understand that the Tough Mudder challenge is not for the faint hearted! This weekend, 4 of The Ice Co team took it on in the Yorkshire edition and have come out the other side tougher, muddier and full of well deserved pride!

Nick, Ben, Mark and David made The Ice Co proud by putting their bodies on the line to raise money for Variety, a charity supporting the well-being of disabled children. Their bodies may be cold for the next week but you definitely can’t say they are cold-hearted!

Tough Mudder is a 10-12 mile world renowned obstacle course, with one of the most dreaded obstacles being the ‘Arctic Enema’, nicely described as a giant ice bath in which runners have to plunge head first through a pipe straight into a pool full of our lovely ice (those lucky lucky people!)

It so brutal, Tough Mudder even released a ‘tips and tricks’ guide on getting through it in one piece!        Guide to the Arctic Enema

As ice supplier to Tough Mudder, it seemed only fitting that as well as providing the icy bite of the Arctic Enema, that we would also provide a couple of our own runners to test our product… head first!

We managed to strap GoPros to our ice warriors to record them taking the arctic plunge, and they are either really happy to have done it or are just really crazy about our ice cubes!

All four of the team succesfully finished the course, albeit missing a few shoes, and were greeted with a well deserved beer.

Well done guys…same again next year!
