Who Are We?

The Ice Co, (Iceco Ltd), is the UKs largest ice manufacturer, supplying bagged ice products into the retail, wholesale, food service, events and food manufacturing industries. The registered address is Units 18/20 Langthwaite Business Park, South Kirkby, West Yorkshire, UK, WF9 3AP.

What information is collected and what do we do with it?

We obtain information about you when you visit our website, for example when you contact us about our products and services via our enquiry form, if you sign up to our newsletter, if you contact us via our careers section, if you enter a competition and we also use Google Analytics (see below) to track your activity whilst on our website.

The information we collect may include your name, email address, phone number and IP address and information regarding what pages are accessed and when.


If you sign up to our newsletter, we will use your information to send you emails with regards our products, services, latest news, competitions and other related content. We store this information on a secure Mailchimp server, however your personal information is only used by us. We will do this until you unsubscribe, which can be done via the emails sent or by contacting us at

Enquiry Forms:

If you contact us via an enquiry form, we will hold your details on our internal email server and will only contact you with regards the enquiry unless an event arises in which we need to contact you for a legal, contractual or legitimate reason.

Careers, CVs and Speculative Emails:

If you contact us via our careers page, your CV and associated details sent with this will be held by the HR department, who will contact you with regards your application, enquiry or applicable jobs. If you wish for the HR department to not hold your details, please make this clear when sending the CV or enquiry.

Do we share your personal data?

We will not sell your information to third parties. We sometimes work with third parties to provide services to you on our behalf such as direct marketing however if we do, we will only disclose the information that is necessary and we will have a contract in place that requires them to keep the information secure and only for the time necessary to complete the activity.

Visiting our website:

We use Google Analytics to collect information about your visit such as:

Technical information including the IP address used to connect your computer to the internet, browser type and version, device being used, time zone setting, operating system and platform.

Information about your visit including the pages visited, the time you visit the site for, website performance during the visit, the time you spent on each page, page response times, where you visited our page from (URL) and country location.

Although Google Analytics does not hold personal information, we may use your IP address to show adverts to you via other websites and through social media channels that we believe will be of legitimate interest having visited our website.

Businesses visiting our website:

We use a software tool to analyse the businesses that visit our website. We use this to look at business details such as address, telephone number, website and IP address and also analyse activity on the website such as pages visited, how long the visit lasted and how many times they visited. We may then use this information to contact the business. We do not collect any personal information through this.


There is a feature on the website to add products to your shopping basket with retailers such as Tesco, Sainsburys, Waitrose and Ocado. You may be asked to login to do this. This is the login details you use with the retailers website and not with The Ice Co. To see how this information is used and stored please see the retailers Privacy Policy. We do not collect any personal information through this feature, we do however have access to details such as how many people have used it, times and dates it was used, through which platform and which products they have added to their baskets.
